Aviation strategy on the Danish Government’s agenda

November 24, 2015

Today, the Danish Government presented their initiative ‘Growth and development in Denmark’ – including a distinct initiative for the aviation sector.

Earlier this year, Copenhagen Economics assessed the economic contribution of aviation in Denmark and we identified current and future challenges facing the industry.

We concluded that the sector supports a GDP contribution of as much as 100 billion DKK yearly and around 150,000 jobs. However, with the right set of growth supporting initiatives, this contribution can increase by 8 billion DKK and support a further 16,000 jobs.
