The Norwegian Postal and Telecommunications authority (NPT) has chosen Copenhagen Economics as its adviser with respect to design, implementation and operation of the upcoming Norwegian 1800 MHz spectrum auction. In the auction, the unsold 1800 MHz lots from the multi-band auction in 2013 will be sold using an open multi-round auction.

According to the preliminary time plan, the auction is scheduled to start on 26 January 2015. There will be a consultation in September-October after which the final auction rules will be published on 8 December 2014. The deadline for registering for the auction is 12 January 2015.
