Copenhagen Economics has appointed partner Martin H. Thelle as new Managing Director with effect from 1 August 2012.

Founder and former Managing Director, partner Claus Kastberg Nielsen, has taken over the management of our Stockholm office which is expanding rapidly.

Furthermore, partner Henrik B. Okholm has been appointed as Director with responsibility for HR and operations.

These changes are all part of our aim to create ‘A great small economics firm’. Each day, Copenhagen Economics is striving to be the best, specialised economics firm in The Nordic countries – and among the best within our field in Europe.

Martin H. Thelle has been employed at Copenhagen Economics since 2000, and became partner in 2004. He specialises in advising clients on economic aspects of competition cases, as well as economic aspects of regulation and international trade assignments. His industrial experience ranges from air and rail transport to digital media and technology sectors.

Martin H. Thelle will continue to build Copenhagen Economics towards our vision of becoming the Nordic choice among the best economics firms in Europe.

Commenting on his appointment, Martin H. Thelle says: “I am honoured to lead Copenhagen Economics into the future. We have built a strong company over the last 12 years and we will continue to devote ourselves to the needs of our clients. I would like to thank Claus Kastberg Nielsen for the enormous contribution he has made to the success of the firm, and I am very pleased he will continue to deploy his energy to building our Stockholm office to scale”.

We will celebrate the appointment at a reception on 9 October 2012 from 17.15-19.00 at our premises in Copenhagen.
