Monday Copenhagen Economics’ Partner Helge Næss-Schmidt was interviewed by TV2 Finans on the Cyprus crisis. He argued, that the end result of the agreement is in line with the EU Commission’s proposal on how to wind up insolvent banks – fully in line with the Danish authorities’ management of insolvent Amagerbank – and thus to be recommended as a way to shift bank financing responsibility to private financial markets.
