In an interview in the leading Danish business newspaper Borsen, partner Martin H. Thelle is discussing the current investment crisis in Denmark. For the first time in decades, the private sector in Denmark is facing negative net investments. The article discusses Copenhagen Economics’ analysis of investments showing that investments have peaked and that the net value of the capital stock in several manufacturing sectors is starting to decline. Martin H. Thelle says: “With the current pace at which investments are diminishing, I am very concerned about the jobs and wages for the 150.000 people employed in manufacturing sectors where investments have ceased to increase”.
The analysis forms the start of a collaboration with the think tank Axcelfuture.dk. Axcelfuture.dk has asked Copenhagen Economics to perform several in-depth analyses of the investment climate in Denmark, which will be combined with the insights from seasoned investment experts from the investment fund Axcel and other expert economists in the field.
