On 20 April 2016 and on 24 may 2016, the Finnish Consumer and Competition Agency and the European Commission approved the acquisition of Onninen, a mostly wholesale construction and building services supplier in Finland, Nordic area and the Baltics, by Kesko Corporation, the largest construction and building retailer in Finland. Kesko is a trading sector company with around 900 grocery stores in Finland, mostly in the supermarket and hypermarket segments.
Copenhagen Economics has supported Kesko and its legal team with independent economic analysis in the discussions with the FCCA.
