Copenhagen Economics has studied the pros and cons from further liberalisation of the legal profession in Denmark. The study is conducted for The Danish Bar and Law Society and The Association of Danish Law Firms. The study contains three steps:
- Firstly, we have analysed the current competition on legal services in order to assess the potential for more competition through further liberalisation of the legal sector
- Secondly, we have analysed the need for regulation of the legal sector in order to assess risks related to increased liberalisation of the sector
- Thirdly, we have analysed the socio economic consequences of five possible liberalisation initiatives
