Changes in the preconditions upon which calculations from 2013 on the economic value of the new light rail in Copenhagen were based suggest that the initial estimate of the economic value is not necessarily still accurate today.
That is one of the key conclusions in our study on the Greater Copenhagen Light Rail, estimated to begin its operations in 2024.
In the study, we identify eight preconditions, which have changed compared to what was expected in 2013. Four of these changed preconditions could potentially prove to cause a higher economic value of the new light rail than calculated in 2013.
