New study: Postal shipments into the U.S. cost the U.S. Government over $1 billion in revenue per year

Today, the the Coalition of Services Industry (CSI), a leading trade association representing the U.S.services economy, releases our study of International package shipments customs and data submission.

All shipments to the U.S. over $200 with applicable duties must include a customs declaration: while the private express carriers are complying, serious doubts emerge when looking into the international postal shipments. According to our estimates, the annual loss of public sector income due to not collecting customs fees on postal package shipments is over $1 billion.
