New study: THE NET COST OF FLASH GLUCOSE MONITORING IS MUCH LOWER THAN ITS UPFRONT COST IN NORWAY

October 29, 2020

Flash Glucose Monitoring is a new and superior way for people with diabetes to monitor their blood glucose level, which is already available to people with type I diabetes in Norway. In contrast, the most common way for people with type II to monitor their blood glucose level is the so-called finger pricking method.

In our recent study, we find that the net cost of Flash Glucose Monitoring for people with type II diabetes in Norway is much lower than its upfront cost due to a reduction in risk of diabetes related complications such as hypoglycaemia.
