New study: The net cost of sensor-based glucose monitoring is much lower than its upfront cost

Sensor-based glucose monitoring is a new and superior way for people with diabetes to monitor their blood glucose level. Today’s most common way for people to monitor their blood glucose level is the so-called finger pricking method.

In our recent study, we find that the net cost of sensor-based glucose monitoring is much lower than its upfront cost due to a reduction in risk of diabetes related complications such as hypoglycaemia.
