Greenland’s economic growth all but came to halt in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the various sectors of the economy have been affected very differently, with the tourism sector being hit the hardest.
Faced with a future characterised by uncertainty, fiscal hardship for the Greenland Treasury and a struggling tourism sector, the government of Greenland must develop robust economic strategies that lay strong foundations for its citizens in the decades to come.
