The European steel producers’ organisation, Eurofer, has formally withdrawn their antidumping complaint on hot-dipped metallic-coated iron and steel flat-rolled products from China. The European Commission’s investigation was unable to show that economic injury has been caused by the alleged dumping from Chinese imports.

Copenhagen Economics helped a European client representing the user-industry arguing against the complaint, and the Commission’s findings are in line with our arguments. However, the Commission is following the developments in the steel market very closely, and new cases cannot be ruled out.
