On 20 September 2012, the European Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (ECCT) released a study by Copenhagen Economics on trade enhancement measures between the EU and Taiwan. The study is an update of the 2008-study on the same topic. The new report confirms the potential economic gains for both Taiwan and the EU from a free trade agreement between the two parties and it concludes that the potential benefits from a trade agreement are even bigger today than in 2008.
