November 23, 2017

Today, mining expert Signe Rølmer speaks at a seminar in Stockholm organised by the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation.

The theme of the seminar is sustainable value chains for innovation-critical raw materials as a matter of risk management for the EU. To address the question of how EU and EU member states can secure the supply of raw materials needed for a green transition in Europe, Signe Rølmer will present her view on the key institutional risks in the development of new raw material value chains.

Other speakers include Mikael Damberg, Swedish Minister of Enterprise and Innovation, and Annti Peltomäki, Deputy Director-General with the European Commission.

Participants include representatives from the Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, German, and French Governments, the European Commission, representatives from the extraction industry Boliden and Leading Edge Materials, and producers Philips, IKEA, and PSA Peugeot Citroën.
