Swedish chancellor of justice settles damages case for SEK 10m

October 24, 2016

Early last year, Unident brought action to the Swedish chancellor of justice claiming damages for lost profits due to unwarranted measures against a product produced and marketed by the company. The case was settled this summer, and the chancellor agreed to pay damages to Unident amounting to SEK 10m.

In the case, Copenhagen Economics provided economic analysis for the claimant which included a quantification of total damages based on the most likely counterfactual scenario.

Unident is a leading Scandinavian provider of dental care products, equipment and services. The company was founded in Falkenberg in 1992 and has more than 100 employees. In addition to retailing, the company is in close collaboration with several manufacturers.
