The Handbook of Competition Economics 2015: The Swedish Competition Authority is becoming more offensive

April 13, 2015

Copenhagen Economics’ Swedish competition experts, Karl Lundvall and Claus Kastberg Nielsen, have contributed to the new version of the acknowledged Handbook of Competition Economics, composing the chapter regarding Sweden.

They particularly point out that the Swedish Competition Authority is becoming more offensive and competent in its case handling, relying more on economic analysis than before. Many Swedish competition lawyers are also seeing a change in clients’ attitudes towards private enforcement, which is expected to be increasing in the coming years.
