Experienced economic consultants

Application deadline: 31/08/2022

As our business is booming, we are looking for experienced economists to join our growing Policy team. Our new colleagues will work as lead consultants and project managers in small project teams to deliver engagements to our clients in the three focus areas for the Policy team:

  • Climate, energy and natural resources;
  • Financial sector; and
  • Healthcare and life sciences.

The new colleagues can be based in any of our four offices (Brussels, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stock- holm). Most of the team is currently based in Copenhagen.

Candidates’ likely background

  • Around five years of relevant experience as a professional economist gained in a consultancy, research institute, civil service, economic regulator, competition authority, trade body, or in energy, financial sector, healthcare or life sciences organisation.
  • A track record in leading workstreams or well-defined projects.
  • At least master’s level education in economics or closely related field – with a strong component of core economics theory studies.
  • Knowledge of the main policy and regulatory developments in either climate change, energy markets, retail banking, insurance, financial markets, health care or life sciences.
  • Strong professional command of English (at least C1 level). Other European languages are a definite advantage.
  • As a firm, we value teams over stars. We expect our colleagues to be genuine team players with strong drive, integrity and commercial mindset.

The roles

Our new colleagues will join a team of some twenty consulting economists. We would expect the colleagues to learn the ropes of our project model quickly after joining and then move on to acting as lead consultants and project managers on our engagements. As such, the new colleagues will take a lead in the day-to-day running of our projects, supported by senior colleagues and project team members.

The projects are varied – they can include policy advocacy, policy appraisal, tactical and strategic support with regulatory engagements and commercial advice. The subject matter of the work will mostly revolve around climate change, energy markets, financial sector regulation, health markets and life sciences policy. We have a vast array of clients in the three focus areas, many of them household names in Europe and beyond.

Over time, we would expect our new colleagues to deepen their sector expertise and increasingly contribute to winning new business.
