We are seeking a confident, results-driven senior financial controller with a strong skill set in data management, process automation, and the use of financial tools. The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, MS Power BI, SQL, VBA, and Microsoft Office 365.

Our core business comprises more than 80 consultants from students to senior specialists, located in four offices in Brussels, Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Stockholm. We support clients globally concerning, for example, dispute support, competition, and regulatory economics across various sectors, climate and sustainability, intellectual property, and transfer pricing. The 20-member business support team (BST), of which you will be a part, work with human resources, communications, finance, and office management. Tasked with delivering high-quality strategic support across the company, the BST is spread across our four locations and collaborates actively to maximise our resources and find more streamlined ways of working.

YOUR TASKS

The senior financial controller’s duties will include managing accounting records, evaluating, and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a financial controller will aid our organisation in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, implementing proper internal controls, and developing financial plans that support our organisational strategies.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, and organisational skills, and should have a flair for numbers. The financial controller should streamline our accounting functions and operations and provide financial analysis and reports.

SENIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing financial management reports
  • Analysing financial data
  • Monitoring internal controls
  • Overseeing and preparing income statements
  • Participating in budgeting processes
  • Streamlining accounting functions and operations
  • Coordinating audit processes

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • A master’s degree in accounting or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a finance controller
  • Good communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Technical and analytical skills

The senior financial controller reports to the chief financial officer and will be a part of a finance team with four experienced colleagues.
