Equality and Growth

AFTER WORK MEETING ABOUT EQUALITY AND GROWTH

The Danish Economic Society and Copenhagen Economics are happy to invite to an after work meeting about Equality and Growth.

Following the economic crisis, persistent high unemployment and low growth, in conjunction with indications of increased income inequality in a number of OECD countries, has triggered a discussion on various possible links between growth and equality: Where do we have trade-offs and when will more equality boost growth?

You will meet:

  • Christian Kastrop, OECD
  • Lars Haagen Pedersen, Ministry of Finance

The two presenters will provide a policy based perspective from both an international and Danish perspective, drawing on theory and facts and leading up to a discussion with the participants.

When and where?
