Lead Economist

Lionel Gendebien helps private sector clients solve economic issues in the areas of competition and regulation. He combines economic theory and data analytics to break complex problems down to their fundamentals, shape evidence, and communicate solutions to senior executives, regulators and courts.

Lionel has over seven years of experience leading private sector companies successfully through international cartel litigations, multi-year market investigations, cross-border horizontal merger appraisals, and pricing abuse allegations in the UK, German, and other European jurisdictions. He has advised clients in a wide range of industries including truck leasing, investment consulting, insurance brokering, funerals, postal & delivery, telecom, retail gasoline, and grocery retailing.

Prior to joining Copenhagen Economics, Lionel worked for economics consultancies in London and Bonn.
