Dr Nikolaj Siersbæk helps clients within the field of Healthcare & Life Sciences to make well-informed decisions based on solid quantitative analyses.
Nikolaj believes that healthcare decision-making should be governed by real-world evidence. He particularly excels in uncovering economic insights from real-world data and registry data, using advanced statistics and applied econometrics, and translating these into intelligible stories.
As an expert in the economics of healthcare and life sciences, Nikolaj has worked with patient organisations, pharmaceutical and medtech companies, industry associations, and public sector clients to quantify the implications of innovative treatments and regulatory changes.
Nikolaj is a Research Fellow at the Department of Economics at the University of Southern Denmark, where he has access to the international research frontier in economics, econometrics, and data science through feedback and sparring with academic researchers.
Prior to joining Copenhagen Economics and while pursuing his Ph.D., he was affiliated with the Centre of Health Economics Research (COHERE). He has also taught courses in Microeconomics at the University of Southern Denmark and did part of his Ph.D. at Cornell University.
