Sophia Lauer supports clients primarily within the field of climate-related policies by structuring complex economic problems and conducting quantitative analyses.

She is experienced within the intersection of environmental economics and financial markets and helps clients to assess the impact of related regulations. Examples of her work include advising on financial regulation related to the green transition. Her master’s thesis dealt with the consequences of weather extremes on economic growth and the ability to mitigate those through agricultural practices.

Prior to joining Copenhagen Economics, Sophia worked as an intern at the German Council of Economic Experts as well as KfW Development Bank in Namibia.
