We are looking for highly skilled and ambitious economics students to contribute directly to our daily project work. The expected start date is end of August or beginning of September 2023.
WHO ARE WE?
At Copenhagen Economics we provide Hard Facts and Clear Stories to enable our clients to make better choices in their political and commercial realities. We succeed because we are a cooperative team drawn from the best economists, applied microeconomists and quantitative economists in Europe. A pillar of our success is the level of service which we provide to both public and private clients in the delivery of compelling, pragmatic economics solutions. We have extensive hands-on experience working with theoretical and quantitative economic analyses which we tailor to the needs and the business models of our clients.
Copenhagen Economics is one of the leading economics firms in Europe, and for the past 15 years has been consistently listed by the Global Competition Review (GCR) as one of the Top-20 economic consultancies in the world.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
We are looking for students to join our team at our Copenhagen office at the end of the summer. Working as a Research Assistant, you will be a part of our 'Policy' business unit, which is focusing on regulated sectors such as Energy & Climate, Finance & Tax and Healthcare & Life Sciences.
At Copenhagen Economics, you will get the opportunity to have a direct impact, working for some of the most influential institutions, organisations, and enterprises across Europe and beyond. You will develop your skills in economics by learning from and working closely with our team of experienced consultants. Your tasks will be varied, such as finding and analysing data, creating graphs and presentations, and supporting our consultants with the final details of our reports. You should also expect some ad hoc tasks.
A normal working week constitutes 20 hours at our Copenhagen office, but with two-way flexibility, particularly around exam periods.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- You are either a late-stage Bachelor- or Master student in Economics
- You love being a part of a team but can also work independently when needed
- You are the type who can’t help but seek out and take ownership of tasks, and you take pride in delivering high-quality work
- You have a high work ethic and you are flexible and effective in your prioritization of your own work
- You have IT and programming skills, such as Excel, R, Python, Word, and PowerPoint
- You have excellent English skills
