12th Annual Copenhagen Economics Postal & Delivery Conference 2026

Join Us on 16-17 April 2026 for the 12th Copenhagen Economics Postal & Delivery Conference

We are excited to welcome you back to Copenhagen for the 12th Annual Postal & Delivery Conference! This year, we return to the iconic Villa Copenhagen, a venue rich in history as the former Copenhagen Post Office, providing the perfect setting for this flagship industry event.

2026 is about resilience and reinvention. This edition comes at a pivotal moment for the global postal sector, as the EU Delivery Act, trade restrictions, and the drive for greater resilience reshape the policy landscape.

Reflecting these priorities, our agenda dedicates Day 1 (16 April – full day) to strategic and regulatory developments, and Day 2 (17 April – half day) to a deep dive into postal economics. You can expect discussions on:

Day 1 (16 April)

  • What’s next for postal policy and the EU Delivery Act
  • Executive viewpoints on innovation and transition from legacy to future business models
  • Cross-border deliveries: how customs duties and handling fees affect low-value e-commerce packages
  • Postal regulation reforms: lessons from different countries, key risks, and opportunities
  • Why postal infrastructure matters for resilience during crises

Day 2 (17 April)

  • How state aid rules impact postal services: the challenge of cost allocation, designing a counterfactual scenario, assessing intangible benefits, and estimating the net cost of the USO
  • Competition in postal markets: mergers, pricing rules, and what they mean for operators’ strategies

The conference will be held under the Chatham House Rule to encourage open discussion.
